Too many to mention, but I shall pull up some statistics.
Number of Arrests
(This information only encompasses the U.S.A.)
In 2008, 847,864 people were arrested for a marijuana-related crimes.
In that same year, 594,911 people were arrested for violent crimes.
Frequency of Arrests
1 person is arrested every 38 seconds.
Marijuana Reduction
In 2009, $14,100,000,000 will be spent to reduce the availability and use of cannabis.
That's $26,809 per minute, or $446.81 per second.
The DOJ says about 1% of the population is in prison, about 3 million, and 1 in 8 are in for marijuana. That would be about 375,000, (and 89% of those are for possession, 335,750) costing about $1billion/year to keep them there. That dollar figure seems low to me, at less than $8 per day per inmate.
Zero. It's decriminalized in California. That means that for simple possession, you get a small fine, much like a speeding ticket.
872,720 people did in 2007
800,000 arrest occured in 2009
Too many.
alot...
Although in Many cases marijuana can help in medicinal purposes, many people fear that they will be arrested for being in possession of said marijuana
i don't know all i know is that fabian is hot!
That depends greatly on the state. In Texas, possession of marijuana punishment is dependent on the amount (based on ounces), and Texas does not have a possession with intent to distribute for marijuana. I believe many other states to increase the punishment for intent to distribute even with marijuana. I would suggest you look to the penal code of your state, or possibly re-post the question to include the state.
Yes, he got arrested in the 2009-2010 off-season for possession and usage of marijuana.
It's important to make the distinction between use and abuse. Marijuana, alike alcohol, can be used recreationally without permanent side effects on people's everyday lives and routines. People do indeed go to rehab for marijuana, the statistics for this is highly controversial in the U.S. as many adolescents will, after being arrested for possession, be either offered a spot in rehab or one in jail. Obviously, many choose the former. Marijuana is physically addictive to a degree, but most people who develop a marijuana addiction use it as means of self-medicating, and it is rarely, if ever, the physical aspect that keeps the addiction going. So to your question, yes, people do certainly go to rehab for marijuana. It is a potent intoxicant and should not be underestimated.
1-5.5
In 2007, 47.5% of thr 1,841,182 total arrests for drugs abuse violations were for Marijuana. A total of 872,720 of those, 775,137 people were arrested for marijuana possession alone. that is a little over 8 every 5 minutes.
Eight years is the average jail time sentence for cocaine possession. Cocaine possession charges and jail time is based on the amount of cocaine found, whether it is used for recreation or sale and many other factors.
Legalise means to make something lawful. To legalise an activity means that police can no longer arrest you for performing that activity. For instance, possession of marijuana is currently illegal, while many people want it to be legalised. If the government did legalise marijuana, this would mean that people could possess marijuana without the police stopping them from doing so.

You can go to jail for up to 2 years depending on how much you were caught with, and your past felonies. Let me tell you this I have had so many charges for this it isn't funny; nothing to worry about man, trust me, a slap on the wrist if anything. For just a pipe and less than a gram of Marijuana? You get a Possession ticket, and then you'll have to pay a fine from $200-$300 I don't know, but my sister's boyfriend is from Oregon and said most hippie people own a load of marijuana and get away with it.
If you have more than 2 oz, ur going to jail
