Depends on who you count and consider as famous and whether you count people only famous that week and forgotten, also many people gained fame that were not contestants. For example the judges and Ryan Seacrest, Jennifer Hudson is more famous than many people who were eliminated after her but do we count the 6 people that beat her. So your answer could be dozens, hundreds or even thousands in there own circle of friends just trying out and getting on TV makes a person more famous than most of us.
