There are currently 6 billion people on the planet.
Lets say the population distribution is linear decreasing (for simplicity) from age 0 to age 100
#=max-m(age)
if #=0 at age 100 then 0=max-m(100) or max=m(100).
If m is a linear slope then m=max/100

now if there are 6 billion people (6,000,000,000) then the integral of the equation from 0 to 100 equals 6 billion

lets let x=age to make things familiar.

6x10⁹ = ₀∫¹⁰⁰ (max-(max/100)(x)) dx

6x10⁹ = (max(x)-(max/200)(x²)) _0|¹⁰⁰

6x10⁹ = (max(0)-(max/200)(0²)) -(max(100)-max/200(100²)

6x10⁹ = max + (50max)

6x10⁹ = 51max

max = 117,647,058. So having a value for max we can then calculate a value for m and substitution into our original equation gives----
