There are studies but not everyone will admit to it for obvious reasons. I think the last study found that roughly 1% of Americans smoke on a regular basis, im not sure about the worldwide figure but id estimate it to be the same.
The fact of the matter is far more people drink alcohol and smoke cigarrettes, the two main legal drugs, despite the fact theat they are both worse than cannabis

There are still many states, including Texas that think weed is wrong, even though a good majority of people use it. Until it is made legal for recreational use, all of those people using weed are breaking the law.
