ok lets assume it's a run of the mill jpeg file, you will get approx 680 per gb of memory at roughly 5mp. a picture taken in RAW12 format (usually advanced or expert photographers may usse use this) then it's approx 125 per gb. so jpeg = 43,520............. (RAW12 = 8000)
The answer is, it depends on the compression setting on your particular camera; Here's how it works. Your camera receives a raw image through the processor, but it attempts to shrink down the size of the file. This process can affect the quality of the image however, so your camera probably has a setting to choose whether the picture is normal fine or super fine (or in similar words). So that being the case, you can fit somewhere between 750 - 2700 pictures on a 2GB card.

A number cannot be given as it depends on the image quality and resolution. The better the image quality and the higher the resolution then fewer pictures can be held as it takes more memory to store the extra information.
I have an 8gig card in a 10 mp camera, and it held about 2200 pics, so probably somewhere around there. ~Scorpy~
This will depend on the resolution of your video, and the format of the video. On average, about 4 hours of 720p HD video can be held on an 8GB memory card.
The Memory card are devices that store digital data. Memory cards are used in various electronic devices from hand held computers, mobile phones, cameras, etcetera. Memory cards are rewritable. They are quite small in size, they can store a high amount of data

It depends where the information is stored... If the info is held just in he phone's memory - yes you will lose it if you replace the battery. If it's stored on the SIM card - no.
A rough and tumble answer is that a 2GB SD card can hold about 400 pictures if it is completely empty to start with. There are however, many variables such as pixel size, file format, and compression size that would complicate the answer.
The number of photos that can be held depends entirely upon what quality you wish to shoot the pictures at. A 5 megapixel camera, at maximum resolution, probably won't hold many photos. (25-30) As the resolution increases, the number of photos that can be held decreases exponentially. At a lower quality (say 640 by 480) you can hold between 1000 and 3000 photos on a 256 mb camera, depending upon the compression.
