In order to fail marine boot camp you have to know you can do what ever they throw at you and not much if you are out of shape they put you in physical conditioning platoon (pcp) but you don't want to be here it will take you longer to graduate
Some recruits fall out even before getting to boot camp. They DEP in and get scared and dont end up going. My platoon graduated with about Half of what we started with. There are also alot of wash outs who should have never been there in the first place.
Marines train for 13 weeks in boot camp and then go to the school of infantry for a while and then get their MOS training at special Marine schools. So I would say about a year.

There are many different boot camp programs that you can take part in either through community centers, gyms, YMCAs or even personal trainers. Another way to do a boot camp together is to do Barry's Bootcamp which is a video workout.
