What is share in company how many shares do companies own?

A company can issue shares, which is like slicing the ownership of the company up into thousands or millions of pieces. If you own 10 shares of Apple Corp (10 shares is worth about $1000 US, currently) you've got part ownership of Apple Corp. However, since Apple has several billion shares outstanding, you would only own a very small part of the company. It's up to the company to decide how many shares to sell. Of course the more shares they sell, the less each share is worth.

Are Apple products better than Microsoft products and give 3 reasons why?

Many people have their own opinions why either are better than the other, but my opinion is Apple is better. Reasons ___________ * Reason 1: Apple have small wireless keyboards and mouses small enough to fit in a luggage, and letters are still touchable and aren't too small, but Microsoft is big and can't fit anywhere also isn't wireless * Reason 2: Apple has many more products than Microsoft it has it's own Apple computer, Ipods, Ipads, Iphones, and many more also, Apple has it's very own and very popular website "Itunes", but Microsoft only has it's very own computer and it's very own popular website "Microsoft Word" *Reason 3: The Apple company had to sue Microsoft for creating a brand similar to Apple, because Microsoft copied the Apple computer into making the Microsoft computer, but Apple still let them sell their computers *BONUS REASON: The Stock Market on Apple is higher than Microsoft it is very popular many talk about it on TV Creator of Companies: Apple - Steve Jobs Microsoft - Bill Gates So those are my reasons why I think Apple is better.

Why does Microsoft take things from Apple?

Today Microsoft produces a range of software for Apple's Macintosh computers and Apple produces software for computers running Microsoft's Windows operating system. There has been a friendly rivalry between the two companies for many years. In their early days Microsoft was employed by Apple to produce software for them. This relationship evolved and Microsoft licensed some aspects of the Macintosh operating system from Apple to use in their own version which they called Windows. Microsoft started using more of Apple's ideas than they had been allowed to by the licensing deal and they also "acquired" some of the QuickTime programming code which they used in their own media player. This resulted in a long running legal dispute between the two companies. In general Microsoft has taken more from Apple than Apple has taken from Microsoft.
