Everclear is 95% alcohol. Comparing that to most vodkas (40%) it is more than twice as strong. There are warning labels on the bottle that tell you not to drink it straight due to very possible harm to your body. Anyways, one shot of Everclear is about 2.5 shots of most other alcohol
Alcohol poisoning is different for everyone.
Alcohol usually has a greater effect on lighter weight and women, so they would succumb to alcohol poisoning before a heavier person. But it also varies by other things such as fat content, ethnicity, what or how much you have eaten that day.
I would guess for the general population, alcohol poisoning would start around 2 - 3 shots, and right after those is death. (but it could start after 1 shot)
play it a little safer and mix it with stuff, ALOT of non-alcoholic liquids before drinking
About 45.
There is no everclear in beer. Alcohol content of beer is measured as ABV or Alcohol By Volume. The ABV in normal beers can vary from about 3.2% to 5%, but some beers can be as high as 15%. There would be about half an ounce of alcohol in a normal beer. A typical shot is considered 1 ounce, so there would be an alcohol equivalent of about half a shot of everclear.
Everclear is 150 calories per ounce which makes it lowest in calories compared to alcohol by volume.
Shots of Everclear. It's 200 proof.
assuming you're referring to the 190 proof everclear, one shot of everlcear is equivalent to roughly two beers.
no, 8 shots is nothing
Drinking on an empty stomach, also taking straight shots of everclear :) always a party favorite
You can get about 21 1.5-ounce shots from 950 mL of alcohol.
Two for men, one for women, who do not metabolize alcohol as quickly as men.
Alcohol is a neurotoxin, and at elevated levels it suppresses the central nervous system and causes vital functions to shut down. Alcohol poisoning is caused by drinking alcohol faster than the body can eliminate it, causing it to build up in the body fluids. Generally speaking, one has to drink not only quickly, but in large amounts. Anything like normal drinking is unlikely to induce it. However, doing shots or chugging repeatedly can be dangerous. Trying to show how much you can drink is never a good idea.
Most beers average 4-6%. Many micro and nano brewery's have much higher. Many of my beers are around 8-10%. Flying Dog brewery has several between 10-11%, Dogfish Head makes some as high as 20%. Brewdog has one over 40%. The highest I've ever heard of was from England, and it was somewhere around 60%. It may have been a whiskey blend.
Jello shots contain alcohol. They can be dangerous because you don't now how much alcohol you are consuming. They also mask the taste of the alcohol and children might eat them and get sick or even die.
