How many tanks in panzer divisions at battle of bulge?

Answer:

The number of tanks (Panzers) in the German Panzer Divisions that fought in the Battle of the Bulge varied greatly. Some had less than 50, while others had over 100. The "official" German TO&E (KStN) called for a Panzer Regiment of two Battalions with one Battalion of approximately 51 Panthers (PzKw V) plus a Battalion of 51 Panzer IV's (PzKw IVH or J). There were also supposed to be several additional Panzers in the Stab (HQ) units of each Battalion and the Regiment plus a Tank Destroyer Detachment (Panzer Jager Abteilung) with another 20 AFV's, usually JagdPanzer IV's. This would have given a stremgth of around 130-40 AFVs which could be considered "Tanks". But most of the Divisions were understrenght.
