How many times in the Bible did Jesus say 'I Am'?
Answer:
When speaking with regards to his position, relation & deity, I may be off by a few, but I've found (to include the book of Revelation) 27 instances of Jesus using "I am":
- John 6:35 "I am the bread of life...."
- John 6:48 "I am the bread of life."
- John 6:51 "I am the living bread..."
- John 6:58 "I am the true bread..."
- John 8:12 "I am the light of the world..."
- John 8:18 "I am one who testifies for myself..."
- John 8:24 "...I Am he..."
- John 8:28 "....I Am he...
- John 9:5 "I am the light..."
- John 10:7 "....I am the door for the sheep"
- John 10:9 "I am the door." (also translated as gate)
- John 10:11 "I am the the good shepherd...."
- John 10:14 "I am the good shepherd..."
- John 11:25 "I am the resurrection and the life...."
- John 12:46 "I am the light that has come into the world..."
- John 13:19 ".... I Am he..." (he, the Messiah)
- John 14:6 "I am the way and the truth and the life...."
- John 15:1 "I am the True Vine
- John 15:5 "I am the Vine..."
- Revelation 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega....."
- Revelation 1:11 "....I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last..."
- Revelation 1:17 "....I am the first and the last"
- Revelation 1:18 "I am the Living One..."
- Revelation 2:23 "..I am the one who searches out the thoughts and intentions of every person."
- Revelation 21:6 "....I am the Alpha and the Omega...."
- Revelation 22:13 "I am the Alpha and the Omega,...."
- Revelation 22:16 "I am the Root & the Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star."
