I've heard a statistic that different species goes extinct each and every day.

It's difficult to answer this question because the fossil record does not include all animals that have ever lived, nor do we know which extinctions were actually caused by humans directly.

Some prehistoric species that have gone extinct by humans are the dodo, they all only lived on one island and humans ate all of them and their eggs, and the mammoth was extinct because of humans. humans hunted all of them. The ones humans didn't get either died off or got frozen in ice.

Thousands of other species have gone extinct. Such as the quagga, a horse/zebra creature brought to extinction by hunting for its colorful and original fur.
