How many variations to Rudolph the red nosed reindeer?

[Edit]
There is only one version of the song. It was recorded in 1945 by Gene Autry, the Singing Cowboy. It was the biggest hit of his long recording career.

Rudolph was always a song, and it was standard practice of that era to speak the first verse of the song. The first verse is spoken, then the chorus is sung, then the second verse, ect. Rudolph is not a folk song, it is a pop song that has endured.
