It depends on the electrical specification of the oven.

If the oven has heating elements that say total to 3 kW then the consumption will be 3 kW.hrs per hour if all the heating elements are being used.

If the oven is being used for two hours the consumption will be 6 kW.hrs.

or

If the oven is being used for 30 minutes the consumption will be 1.5 kW.hrs.

Ovens can be designed for any voltage but ovens are usually designed to run on the normal supply voltage in the area where they are sold.

In the USA most ovens run on 240 v while in Europe it's 230 v.

An electric oven uses 2000 watts in an hour. This costs you a few cents depending upon where you live. You'd have to check your power bill to find exactly what you pay. This means that in a month most people pay a little over 3 dollars to use their ovens.

How can I find out the amperage of my oven?

To calculate the amperage of an appliance use the following equation, I = W/E. Amps = Watts/Volts. In North America the home voltage for larger appliances is 240 volts. Somewhere in the oven there will be a name plate. on it will give you the wattage of the device. Divide the voltage of 240 volts into this wattage value and you will end up with the amperage that the oven requires to operate.

Why should you be thankful for electricity?

Electricity has many uses. We use electricity to switch on the lights in our homes, switch on the stove and oven to cook and bake, the washing machine to wash our clothes, as well as for many other things. Electricity is also used by machines in factories to make many products that we use everyday. We can see that electricity has many uses, therefore we must be thankful for the electricity that is supplied to us.
