You simply can't convert between units that measure completely different tings, in this case energy (for joules), and power (for watts). The general relationship is:

joules = watts x seconds

Or equivalently:

watts = joules / seconds

A joule is a quantity of energy, whereas a watt is a rate of energy flow, so they are not the same type of quantity. A watt is the power produced by a flow of energy at a rate of 1 joule per second.

You cannot convert watt to joule, because first is unit of power, second is unit of energy. However power times time equals energy. And particularly we have:

1W= 1J x 1s

1055 Joules = 1BTU

3.413 BTU = 1 Watt

1 watt = 3600.715 Joules

Is one kilo-joule the same as one watt second?

No. 1 watt = 1 joule per second 1 watt-second = 1 joule 1 kilo-joule = 1,000 joules

Is a watt a unit of power or a unit of electrical energy?

Watt is a unit of power. 1 Watt = 1 Joule/second; joule is the unit for energy.

How many watts equals 1 joule?

Watts are units of power. Joules are units of energy. They are not the same. One watt is one joule per second.

How many units consume for 1000 watts?

A watt is a unit of power. 1 watt = 1 joule/second; that is, if somebody consumes 1 watt, it consumes 1 joule of energy every second. Or if there is a transfer of 1 watt, 1 joule of energy is transferred every second. 1000 watts (1 kW), of course, is simply 1000 times as much (1000 joule/second).

How many joule equals 1 MW energy?

1 watt/second equal to 1 Joule

How much energy will it take to produce one watt of power in one second?

1 watt means 1 joule/second. To produce 1 watt means that every second, 1 joule of energy is produced.

How many lumen are in 1 Joule?

1 lumen = 1 candela per steradian.1 candela = 1/683 watts per steradians (assuming 540nm light wavelength).Assuming that the light is collected from a single steradian:1 Lumen = 1 Candela -> = 1/683 Watt -> Watt = 683 Lumens1 Joule = 1 Watt per Second -> Watt = Joule/SecondHence:683 Lumen = 1 Joule/SecondUnder the above assumptions1 Lumen = 1/683 Joule/Second

What is the basic unit to measure power?

The "watt" is. 1 watt = 1 joule per second.

Is the units of powers a watt?

Yes. 1 Watt = 1 Joule per second

1 watt of power equals how many joules?

1 watt = 1 joule per second.
