How manypeople work for the environment agency?

Answer:
Approximately 13,000 people currently work for the Environment Agency across England and Wales, although like much of the public sector we are trying to make savings and efficiencies in the way we work. Our responsibilities are extremely varied, from pollution prevention, flood protection, waste, agriculture and land management, to fisheries, recreation and navigation. So we employ specialist scientists, geologists, engineers, planners, lawyers, enforcement officers and conservation experts to name a few.
