Hello (boss), you have a minute? (area clear, its kind of a personal conversation). Hey I'm kind of in a rut, I have bills that are going to clean out my savings account, my grandmothers funeral is coming up and my mom wants me to help pay for it, i cant say no, (if you have a kid) my kids growing bigger along with his appetite. I am making enough money to barley handle basic living cost, but I am not going to be able to hold up much longer, my car payments and insurance are going to clean me out mostly. I need more money and have not the time for a second job. (boss), I was wondering if you could help me out(you have to let him know that your "hoping" to god he will say yes, that if he says no, then you will not be a happy employee, happy employees, good work. unhappy employees, bad work.) by giving me a raise. I really need it and would really appreciate it (boss). (when you say their name, you are addressing them directly, its way more effective to do so.
