These are both considered common dates for Liberty Head nickels -- unless the 1912 has a "D" or "S" mintmark on the reverse at about 8 o'clock near the rim. The 1908 and 1912 with no mintmark, in circulated condition but with complete rims and all lettering readable, are worth about $1.00 each. If the word LIBERTY (in the headband) is complete and easily readable, they're worth about $6.00 each. Nice uncirculated ones are worth about $50.00 A 1912 with a "D" mintmark, in circulated condition but with complete rims and all lettering readable, is worth about $2.00. If the word LIBERTY (in the headband) is complete and easily readable, it's worth about $25.00. A nice uncirculated one is worth about $200.00 A 1912 with an "S" mintmark, in circulated condition but with complete rims and all lettering readable, is worth about $100.00. If the word LIBERTY (in the headband) is complete and easily readable, it's worth about $375.00. A nice uncirculated one is worth about $1,000.00
