I was 18 years old and driving a 1965 Ford Mustang and living in Ventura. I was paying between 17.9 and 18.9...

In 1968 I bought a 68 GTO and was paying 19.9 and could fill could fill up for about 3 dollars

In my area of W-Ky a gallon of gasoline in 1966 cost .25 cents per gallon on average. Adjusted for inflation that is equal to $1.81 in 2013.
