i would choose 30-40 dollars for a night eg. 5pm-7am
Answer:
5pm to 7pm is 14 hours so $30 to $40 is essentially $2 to $3 an hour (half a cup of coffee at Starbuck's or what was paid back in the '90's) The American average babysitting rates are $9 to $12 per hour. The rates rise in large cities (up $15 per hour in New York City) and drop in rural areas (as low as $5 an hour in rural Wisconsin) The closer you are to a metro area, the more you should stick to the national average. So 14 hours is about $140. Before you say "I couldn't charge that!" remember that you will be maintaining the kid(s) for 12 hours, preparing serving and cleaning up after supper and breakfast, and loosing your personal time and a good night's sleep. A day care operation which treats the kids as a herd with no individual attention (inferior to your servece) charges at least this per day for 10 to 12 hours.
what's the amount should charge for babysitting, how many hours should keep the children a day, and how many children you can babysit at a time?
I'm not entirely sure, but if you think the 14 year old can be trusted with babysitting her sister, you should be alright.
Greetings Folks, I'm a mom whose reviewing babysitting laws because my own daughter has reached babysitting age. From what I can tell you do not need a license to babysit your own flesh and blood. If however you are professionally babysitting other people's children, that is to say, running a daycare, then you do need a license. Anne
sweet!
at the American Red Cross Babysitting Course.. there should be an American red cross in your state. the age is from 11-15
If you're a beginner then you should charge $5 an hour, but if you're more advanced, you should charge $6 or $7 an hour.
$40.00
$5 dollars an hour
You charge 20 a for the night and 10 for any problems
You have to be 17 or 18 to babysit a child overnight. Sometimes when you babysit someones child you must not have a record with the police.
8 to 12 dollars an our
If it's just a day babysitting job, you shouldn't need anything. If it's overnight, you'll need a change of clothes and toiletries.
FIVER
I charge 8 $$ per hour for 1 child and for 11 $ for 2. If theres three and i know the family well i will only charge 13$ per hour
Depends on teh policies in where you live. Or based on the maturity and what ages of the kids they are babysitting.
Yes! I'm 16 and I babysit 5 kids overnight every single weekend. I was babysitting at 14 overnight. It depends on how mature the person is that is doing the babysitting. You can always make a couple of calls (good idea) just to see that everything is OK and leave the phone number where you can be reached. The age to babysit is not legislated, but as stated above, maturity is key.
