It really depends on the environment If it is in a major hotel resort they pay union scale which is probably about 12.00 dollars and hour. Local places pay minimum wages. If you are going to be a cocktail waitress it helps to be highly skilled and young and good looking. If you are not it becomes geometrically more difficult to get hired. At the Rio in Las Vegas they are called bevertainers and have to be able to sing and dance. I know it is crazy. If you have those attributes come on down and give it a shot. It also helps to know someone in the business here. Once you get here and get employed it is important that you network with other people in the business.
Bartenders there need to have flare experience if you have any of those skills you can bump people with a lot more time in grade. Good luck Oh yes before you come down all the major Casinos have employment websites where you can get in the system. Once you post with a major Casino you can create job spies that will notify you of openings in your job category. I would also call up the Casino you are considering and find out the name of the beverage manager and then figure out away to get there email address sometimes they will give it to you at the phone call sometimes you have to call human resources and get it from them. I usually tell them I lost it or the truth always is good Just say I am trying to get hold of John Smith beverage manager for xyz Casino as I have some information for him that he really needs to see. The person answering the phone will either give it to you or forward you to someone who can. Once you have the addresses for all the beverage managers you are interested in talking to. I would send them a email reminding them of how much I really want the job until the end of time, also remind them that you are in the system. If they get a lot of emails and they do they may not respond or just put you on a blocked senders file so get there address as well and send them a card every month.
Bartenders in Vegas can make up to $7-$15 wage plus $10-$50 in tips per hour. But that totally depends on personality, gender and outlet. A hot young female can make $1000 a day tending bar in a strip club, but that is very exceptional.
To get a job as a bartender is hard. You need personality (friendliness and dedication to service) and experience, competition is huge.
It depends which establishment you work at, check with local establishments for accurate wages
