It depends on the Actor, if they're 'A List' or not, it depends on the project, TV or movie project, an indie film or summer blockbuster.

An actor or actress can get paid anywhere from scale to 20 million dollars or perhaps even more if they have a back end deal for the particular picture they are in.

Anywhere from nothing (zero) for amateur productions and small local theatricals to millions per show. For the big bucks, it's a matter of contract, and the contract depends on all kinds of things that are negotiated by an agent. So there is no one answer to the question.

Think about it--a huge major box office star and a nonspeaking bit player in a play in the basement of a church are both actors. How could one number fit them both? And in between are all the extras in small film and TV roles, principals on regional stages, etc., etc.

You'll hardly find a profession anywhere with a bigger range of pay except possibly writers, most of whom are near the zero end of the scale--and then there's J.K. Rowling.

Actors make mostly about millons per movie so i really dont know but actors probly do make millons per hour or movies like i just said......................Well, as the saying goes - it's all in who you are.

But when you're just starting out as an actor, you'll typically make the day rate for SAG (assuming your a member).

Here are the rates that will be good until July, 2007. Principle Performer Rates

Per Day: $759

Per Week: $2,634

Background Actors (aka Extras)

Per Day: $130 Residuals for theatrical Films:

3.6% of distributors gross receipts

4.5% of first million sold, 5.4% there re's the blog for The Actor's Life

So you want to become an actor. If, by the end of this article, you still want to become an actor - you should explore The Work and Resources to find a coach that's right for you There are alot of misconceptions about what joining SAG will do for your career. Many beginning actors think that once they join SAG that they'll immediately start getting auditions and invitations from agents.

The actors paychecks always vary. Take the Big Bang Theory for example, the actors such as Bernadette and Amy make 30,000 per episode to whereas Sheldon and Leonard make about 500,000 per episode.

It all depends on what kind of role the actor/actress gets and what sort of company is producing the production. An actor gets payed by roles, it isn't the sort of job where you get payed at the end of every month for the rest of your life.

Both sort of, they are paid per episode but are paid a salary.

When they negotiate their contracts, they establish the amount of payment for (let's say) 13 episodes and they are paid that amount, for example 13 thousand.

They aren't getting 13 paychecks of 1 thousand each.
