How much do immunizations cost for the first year? In: Child Health |
[Edit] |
Answer
Typically a child will need about 12-15 immunizations by 12 months depending on the schedule they are receiving them. Contact your county health dept. and see how much they charge. My county health dept. charges $10 a shot for immunizations and flu shots whether or not you have insurance. If you have Medicaid it is free. Also some pediatricians set up immunization times on certain days where you can go just for that reason and you don't pay for a doctor's visit.
Answer
i live in Canada it is free
Answer
Although the actual shots ARE FREE in Canada. we are ALL paying for them thru our income taxes, the GST and sales taxes, as well as taxes on gasoline, beer and alcohol and tobacco. So YES the shots are free here, but not really.
