It is a basic scale applied to all the armed forces. It varies based on pay grade and time in service.

The answer to this question depends on many variables. You have a lot of "blanks" to fill in.

Enlisted paygrades are E-1 thru E-9

Warrant Officer paygrades are W-1 thru W-5

Officer paygrades are O-1 thru O-10

You may want to check the latest military pay web sites for specific pay and allowances. Military members (yes, Marines too) are paid: base pay, housing allowance, food allowance, uniform allowance, and special pays based on a number of variables including occupational needs and where the member is assigned. He/ she could also be paid combat, hazaradous duty, imminent danger, or flight pay. There are too many possibilities to consider. You really need to know the specifics of the situation. If you have access to the member's LES (Leave and Earnings Statement) you will know EXACTLY how much they make. The monthly LES tells all.
The US Marine Corps pay scales is the same as all of the other services. It is based on the rank and the time in service for the member. Other factors include being married and special pay for jobs like flight pay and jump pay. It starts at $1467.70 a month and can be as high as $18,936.90 for the Marine Commandant.

A U.S. Marine does not get paid much. It may seem like a lot if you look at their pay scale and other benefits according to the site linked below.

However, I was in the Marine Corps for 8 years. I figured out my total of pay and all my allowances and with the hours I worked (not including putting my life on the line and all that I put up with on a daily basis) I was only making about 8.75 an hour. That was according to what the Government sends every Marine at the end of every year stating what they earned in a dollar amount with every benefit they received for the year.

See the related link. Your Marine's monthly base pay will be at the intersection of his rank (paygrade) and years of service.

It depends on your rank bro. But the good things is that Marines and other soldiers don't pay taxes while there deployed. So your check goes straight to bank.
