It depends on your rank (your "pay grade") and how long you've been there. Enlisted can make anywhere from $18-60k per year and Officers significantly more. You get extra pay for being in dangerous conditions like combat, or in a specialty that is in high demand like piloting.

A Marine for the United States Military gets paid by rank and length of service. The beginning salary for a Private is about $1,468 a month. A Private First Class gets about $180 more than that a month. A Four Star General gets up to $19,000 a month if entire service in the military is 38 years.
