It really depends on how big this roll of carpet is, but is it is really big, it could be pretty heavy.

Laughable, why waste time with an answer like that?

To estimate;

first calculate sq feet: Length X width= Sq feet ie. (12'X100' would be 1200 sq feet)

Then multiply sq feet X the weight per sq ft. (1200 sq feet X .5= 600 pounds)

Lots of variable but you didnt give any specifics, so I will have to assume approximate is all you are looking for.

for residential/ home carpet use 1/2 pound (.5) per sq foot & you will be pretty

close,

for commercial carpet use 3/8 pound (.4)per sq foot.. lots of variables but that will be better than "Pretty Heavy" for your estimate

About 35 lbs for a roll of 15 lb felt that covers 400 sq ft.
