It really depends on the airsoft gun itself, but it usually hurts like getting pinched kinda hard.
It also depends on how far away you are, the fps of the gun, what the caliber you put in is, how many BBs you put in (meaning if it is a shotgun how many BBs it can hold at once and how much of that you put in), how acurate the gun is, the brand of gun (some brands shoot faster than others), if the person shooting you is trying to hurt you or not, how much you get shot in each spot, maybe the gun is empty then it wouldn't hurt at all, the worse how close to your ear the gun is (my ear is still ringing), how quick it shoots, as the person above me said what kind of gun it is, and a lot more stuff. (this is my first post).

∙ 12y agoit really depends on what type of gun it is and how far away it is, but in general it doesn't hurt that bad its just the initial sting and then ur ok. its only as big of a deal as u make it

With one layer of cloths from about 50 feet away
0-300 fps - don't really feel anything
300-350 fps - slight sting, a small red mark that goes away quickly
400-450 fps - larger red mark and a stronger sting that stays for a while
450 - up - you will usually only be shot by a gun over 450 fps if it is a sniper, at which point the bb will have traveled so far its velocity is under 400 fps on impact

∙ 11y agoFirst of all - always wear eye protection. Even non-powerful airsoft gun may cause severe eye injury.
Not too bad.
Some shots (specifically to the face) can hurt a lot, generally wear a little clothing and you will be fine.
Damage depends on BB's speed and shot distance. Powerful guns at close range may hurt a lot, penetrate skin or crack a tooth.

∙ 12y agoWell, first it depends what kind of gun and what sized BB it holds, and where. If you are shot by say a shotgun at close range it hurts. it feels like a sting and a really tight pinch. While a automatic gun hurts a little less then a sniper or shotgun. Hope I helped

Like the dickens. Depends on how close you are to the gun. From 2 feet, you might pee yourself, from 200 feet, barely feel it.
Is airsoft like Nerf for tougher people?
Not really. Airsoft really doesn't hurt. I usually were ACU and last time we played got shot in the privates by a KWA M16 that shoots about 400 fps I think. It didn't hurt at all. Airsoft, in my opinion, is better than Nerf because airsoft lets you have more range, and you're not worried about picking up Nerf darts all the time.

If you read the safety info it says it stings, probably not as much as an airsoft gun though

In my opinion airsoft wars do not hurt but yet I play paintball. But it really matter what fps the airsoft gun is and how close they are to you and if they are shooting you once. But really airsoft does't pack a punch in the hit it just stings a little bit.

Doesn't airsoft sting more than paintball?
Paintball hurts MUCH more than airsoft. The reason that Paintball hurts more than Airsoft is because the speed of the paintball is faster and the mass is also larger. Take an Airsoft BB and a paintball and look at the difference in size. Now, when you figure that Paintball markers have much greater speed than an Airsoft gun, you will find that Paintball will and should hurt more.
Should i buy Nerf vulcan or a dart tag set with two fury fire?
niether Nerf is for kids and they have no distance. get and airsoft gun or at least a rubber band gun. the band gun is good because it doesnt hurt they're lighter and have more ammo and longer range. i very highly suggest the airsoft because they can have so much more ammo than a stupid Nerf, but were gogles with airsoft they can cause eye damage if you get shot and they are soooooo much more fun
How much does an airsoft gun hurt - around 370fps?
Not at all. My 9 year old sister doesn"t even feel it.
