If you are honest, have high integrity, and work hard the sky is the limit. You don't have to manage others - you can remain independent throughout your whole career OR you can go into management, make even more, if you care about those you are managing and are willing to meet quotas, etc. As an independent rep there are no quotas but if you want to survive you must work hard for about 5 years then it's a little easier. Don't get me wrong - you must always work but your time is your own to manage. Many make only about $30K per year because they don't work. I have made, consistently, 90-100K+ per year for 9 years due to hard work and those with whom I associate saw me to be honest, hard working, etc. and gave me some accounts to manage which I did diligently, by God's grace. I am always shocked at the end of the year to see how much I"ve made - it's such a blessing. Hope this helps.
An agent gets 10% of whatever you make. That means nothing until you make something. So be very careful if an agent is asking for money upfront. They are not legit.

No, not unless you deducted the cost of the insurance on your taxes.
Call the company directly or your agent.
I'm an Aflac agent and I LOVE the company. They are honest, quick to pay claims, and offer financial protection for many, many people.
Aflac pays 2X as much in claims as in administrative costs.
It depends on the benefit -- it's best to locate your agent and give them a call. They will know.
