It's tricky. It gets hairy around NY-NJ due to all this stuff (peak vs. off-peak) and since I-95 doesn't connect well, it also depends where you cross into Pennsylvania/Delaware, and if you have EZPass, which sometimes gets a discount. If you use the New Jersey Turnpike all the way from the GW Bridge, to I-295, and cross into Delaware, and you're going southbound at peak times, it's going to be about $26.30 if I did my math right.
The I-295 Delaware River Bridge is $3 southbound only, but there's a northbound-only toll in Maryland north of Baltimore which is $5. So it's about $28.30 from Virginia to Canada. That should be about right.
This toll cost was from March 2009.
Ok so from Mechanicsville, Virginia to Wells, Maine there are 9 tolls.
On the Way from VA to ME my tomtom took me all the way to Maryland without hitting a toll till then and that was $5.00
Delaware=$3.00
New Jersey Tnpk= $9.05
NYC bridge= $8.00
Connecticut= $1.75
Massachusetts= $.50
Hew Hampshire=$1.50
Maine=$2.00
Total= $32.00

New Hampshire= 1.50
Mass= .50
New Jersey TNPK= 9.05
Delaware=3.00
Baltimore= 4.00 Tunnel

Total= $23.00
** if you have a way to avoid the Jersey TNPK please let me know that way I can try it**
95 is not a toll road in MD though I believe it's 1 dollar to go through the tunnel in Baltimore. Also, there is a $5 toll eastbound over the susquehanna in MD (Harford/Cecil counties). Once you're in Delaware you need to exit at the first exit, otherwise you'll go through toll booths and pay $4.
The NH toll is $1.25 and Maine is $1.50 to get on in York, .50 to get on from other towns and $1.25 in Gray Maine
It costs about $40 in tolls to get to Virginia from New York.
$10
Connecticut has no toll roads. The Massachusetts Turnpike (Mass Pike) has tolls east of Springfield, but what your specific trip would cost depends how much of your trip you spend on the Pike.
20
roughly 20 doll hairs
Usually around $800.
eight
it costs four dollars or more
If you take I-95 there are no tolls in NC or Virginia. As of a couple years ago, there were none in SC either.

I would also like to know that! :^
Virginia and Massachusetts were separate colonies and now separate states.
