In the United States, the cost of attending vet school is between $150,000 and $250,000 for four years. The vast majority of this cost is covered by the individual veterinary student through student loans. In other countries, vet school may be subsidized by the government to minimize the cost of attending for individual students.

it can cost around $18,000--$35,000 per year, depending on in-state or out-of-state tuition rates and choice of schools.

Admission into a DVM program usually averages out this way: 1.)Academic Factors <50-60%> objective evaluation of grade point averages and Graduate Record Examination scores...2.)Non-Academic Factors <approximately 25%> subjective review of personal attributes, veterinary experience, understanding and dedication to the veterinary profession, motivation to become a veterinarian, extracurricular activities, and educational quality...3.)Interview <0-20%>

In the United States, if you are a resident of a state with a vet college or a state with a reciprocity agreement with a nearby vet school, you can cover the cost of tuition, books, supplies and fees for about $150,000 for four years. If you are an at-large or out-of-state student in a school that doesn't allow you to acquire residency, you can be facing a bill of up to $300,000 or more.
