It costs very little to replace vacuum hoses. Just purchase enough of each size hose to cut and replace them all. Be sure and do them one at a time or you will get confused as to where they connect.

1996 E250 why does the air shift from vent to defrost when you get in a pull or get on the gas hard?

You may have a vacuum leak or a check valve isn't working in the HVAC system. When there is no vacuum in the system it defaults to defrost. Under load the engine vacuum drops to almost zero. Normally the HVAC system has a vacuum reservoir to maintain operation during this situation, but if there is a leak it cannot hold vacuum.

Ac not blowing throw the vents in a 1996 Chevy lumina?

Check the floor heat vent and defrost to see if air comes from them. The vents will be vacuum controlled and a vacuum leak will make the vent doors divert air to the wrong place. Check the entire engine and climate control systems for a vacuum leak.

Why would the air conditioning only blow air from the defrost and floor vents and not the dash vents on a 1996 jimmy?
