The part itself is about $30 or $40 at a shop like autozone or oreilys, so if you are doing the repair on your own, it will be that plus about 2 hours of your time. i have read a bunch of instructionals on how to change it and decided to take it to a Nissan dealer. The dealer does charge a diagnostic fee even if you know the problem, but i would recommend buying the part yourself and pay them to replace it for you. For the install about $200 plus what you pay for the part.

I am not sure of what year you are talking about. But the 1993 and 1994 Altima does not have a crankshaft sensor(crankshaft position sensor) .....
