Irish mobile numbers all start with 08. The zero there is dropped when dialling from abroad. The international dialling code for Ireland is 353. That must be preceded by 00. So to ring or text an Irish mobile number, such as 089 999 9999 from Britain, you would dial:
00 353 89 999 9999
So the basic rule is to drop the first zero on the actual mobile number and then put 00 353 before it.
