It depends on where you live on what things cost.

First you must consider how much time energy and resources go into making one bottle of soda. It takes hours and hours to make one bottle of soda, maybe even days. It costs lots of money in energy bills to be able to run a factory to make this one bottle of soda. Almost the equilavent of having one light bulb on for aproximatly 269 days. Now you must think of the resources needed. YOu need sugar, syrup, artificial flavors, carbonated water and of course... love. Taking all of this into consideration, the aproximate cost of one bottle of soda should equate to $1.

The density of most water-based drinks have a density around 1kg/L. Soda has so much sugar that it is slightly more dense. A kg weights about 10 Nt or 2.2 pounds. A liter of soda would be slightly higher.
