According to 18carat.co.uk, one cubic meter of gold weighs 19.3 tonnes.

"518.13 lbs"

^^^This answer is wrong.

518.13 pounds = 235 Kilograms.

1 cubic metre (meter) = 1,000,000 (1 million) cubic centimetres

235 Kilograms = 235,000 grams

So according to this measurement, 1 cubic centimetre of gold weighs 0.235 grams. Which is ridiculous, when 1cc of water weighs 1 gram.

Does somebody know the correct answer?

I've seen it answered as "How much does one cubic inch of gold weigh" but seriously, who measures in cubic inches? What do they even mean? Cubic centimetres (centimeters) please.

Answer:
The density of gold is: 19.3 g/cc
So 1 m3 of gold has a mass of 19.3 tonnes.
The weight of this mass of gold varies slightly depending on its location on Earth and significantly o you transport it to the moon or one of the other planets

An aside: The amount of gold in the American's Fort Knox is reported to be 20,205 tonnes. Approximately a cube 10 meters on a side. The entire amount of gold ever mined is estimated to be a cube about 25 meters on each side.

We found a number on the web for the density of gold in English units ... 1,188.6 pounds per cubic foot.

1 cubic yard = 27 cubic feet = (27 x 1,188.6) = 32,092.2 pounds = a little over 16 tons.

... assuming you can trust everything you get off the web.
