A regular stainless steel wristband watch, weighs about 125 grams (i'm using a stainless steel Rolex as a reference). A stainless steel watch with a rubber band, weighs about 85 grams (i'm using my Oakley Holeshot as reference). A linen/leather material wristband watch with stainless steel/plastic parts casing like my Timex Expedition, weighs about 45 grams.
One dangerously neglected aspect is the weight of the watch. When making a purchase, a lot of us prefer style to weight, donβt we?
The best practice would be to go even for the style and weight. But how much does a watch weigh?
We have addressed this question in our post. The topic of the watchβs weight is underrated despite its importance. Therefore we decided to shed some light on it. Mostly the optimal weight of the watch differs from person to person but I love to wear a lightweight watch. In my personnel opinion, a wristwatch should not weigh over 100 grams.
