i hard kick could break your knee but not your knee cap. your knee cap is solid bone its like trying to break a really hard and thick rock
It maybe hard, but not impossible, i broke about a 1/4 of my knee cap off by a simple fall in my kitchen. Of course, it dislocated first, but still possible.
Since femur is the largest bone of our body, an ample amount of force is required.
Let's say that the bone may break if if we hit it with a large hammer with lots of force twice or thrice. Additional amounts can be invited.
get a pice of wood and hit your shin bone. do it for 1 hour if u can,.
a lot, more than you an generate without massive amounts of help from a levered force
well if you put all of your weight on one foot and some one kicks it really hard it works trust me it happened to me but by accident
i don't know if this will help, but it takes 20 lbs. pressure to pull off your ear. no jokee! =|
Bones are living tissue, like skin or liver. There are many, many living cells within a bone that are devoted to laying down and also to removing the calcium that provides the physical support that makes bone stiff and strong. If your diet is low in calcium, your body will take calcium out of the bones to use it for essential work elsewhere. If you don't use your bones, by exercising, the cells in the bone will take calcium out of the bone in a "use it or loose it" sort of feedback loop. When bones loose calcium, they are more likely to break or compress. So, when your bones are strong it means your diet and exercise are good and your bones will be much less likely to break or hurt.
"depends on thee bone. Copperhead_51 " That's wrong. As long as there would be no gas in something, the thing cannot break under any kind of pressure (unless you have pressure equivalent to a sun or blackhole). At some pressure, chemicals can start to break down, but your bones would still not break.
The ends of our long bones fit into joints. These joints are lined with cartilage (the flexible tissue that makes up your ears and nose), because cartilage is smoother than bone, and allows the joint to move better But cartilage isn't as strong as bone. By having a larger surface area at the bone end, the stresses on the cartilage are spread out over a greater area. (think of how it would take much less force to break the skin with a pin than with a pencil).
it only takes as much force at it would take to bite a carrot, however we have indicators in our brain that tell us not to do so.
You use 200 bones to take one step
This depends on the bone; to break a finger generally doesn't take much force, but your femur or your thigh bone is harder than cement!
it takes about 9 pounds of force to break your arm
a bit of force, not allot of force.
force is not a think it is only in star wars
it takes an extremely large amount of force to break through a regular crowbar. but it should take about 500 pounds of force which is quite a lot.
550 lbs. of pressure
force in horse power for rocket at the time of launching
It depends how strong your bones are, and how heavy you are. If you have really weak bones, then it will not take far, but if you have strong bones, it will take a bit more of a distance, falling out of a tree for example. If you land the right way, you could break a bone.
Not much. Studeis show that a 5 year old could break such a foam board in one shot taken in .48 seconds.
To break the maxilla you would have to have at least 15 pounds dropped at about 5 feet. The weight and force put together would easily break the maxilla
Bones are meant to be strong, especially in young people. Therefore, it takes a great deal of force for a bone to break. Purposely trying to break a bone could cause muscle and tendon injuries, which take forever to heal and are quite painful. A broken bone is also extremely painful.
you could get your leg bent back really far and hard and your bone can't take that much pain so it forces it too break unless your bones are really really strong it won't break.
