Answer I would begin with 6.25 mg (1/2 child's dose of 12.5mg)and wait 15-30 minutes. If the swelling has not improved, give an additional 6.25mg. The dog …may become sleepy; or sleepy and then excited. Benedryl is a very forgiving drug and it is difficult to overdose with it; however, if your dogs lips and muzzle continue to swell, or there is any difficulty breathing whatsoever, you should get him to a vet immediately so a steroid can be administered IV. My Mom used to always boil her ham. It is Mother's day today and I was just looking up how long to boil my 9lb one. What I found was that for every 10lbs it takes 4hrs o…f gentle boiling. It also suggests to skim the water off frequently and to cover the pot and that the liquid should be 3 inches over the ham. Once done boiling, it suggests to put it in the oven, I'm guessing @ 350 and bake for 1/2 hr. Last time I boiled a ham for a super bowl party, I used a 1/2 part of coke or pepsi and 1/2 part water. It gave a little sweeter taste. I then made a glaze of mustard and brown sugar and brushed it over the ham and baked it for 1/2hr. All the guys wanted to know who made the ham. Hope this helps you out!!! Oh, I did the math for you and your 8lb ham would take 3hr and 12min to boil. (MORE)

In the 1950's, formulas like Similac and Enfamil were not yet widely available. Mothers would actually use a written formula to mix up the ingredients in the formula by hand. …They would get a large bowl and combine Karo Syrup (corn syrup), evaporated milk, water, and possibly one or two other ingredients. This was the "formula" that most babies of the 1950's and even much of the 1960's were fed. (MORE)

1/2 lb. One pound equals to 16 ounces and one ounce equals 0.06 of a pound. Also this relates only to solid (weight) ounces. There are two different kinds of ounces, ounces of… weight/mass and ounces of volume (fluid). This can change when you are using the ounces to measure a non-liquid such as flour or sugar since the weight of dry items is not the same as their volume. An ounce of volume is called a "fluid ounce." (MORE)
