How much hard drive space is required for windows XP professional?

[Edit]

I would say the minimum drive space required for Windows Xp Pro is 20GB. This will allow XP plus the normal required base programes like Word, Excell plus Autoroute to reside on C:/ drive leaving about 9Gb of 'housekeeping space' for windows. There is a little extra allowance so as to allow for the drive to be 'defragged' too.
