In normal everyday driving it will add no extra horsepower. In a racing situation at high rpms it will add some but not much. How much depends on the engine that it is installed on.
cold air intake, K & N airfilter dual exhaust
I have kfx700 with a powercore 4 exhaust and k&n airfilter. Mine goes about 72 mph. the horsepower is incredible
On the S10 the horsepower rating is 190. On a C/K or Silverado it's 200
it all depends on the motor but on my 2007 ford powerstroke diesel v-8 it added a 25 horsepower increase with a k&n cold air set for around $228
The K&N filter will give you a modest increase in H.P. Once you install it you will notice no real difference in normal driving. The work well at very high RPMs which a street car never achieves. Save your money and install a quality normal filter.
get a bigger air intake K&N unpluge your EGR vavle
190 Horsepower which is stock for this engine. The K&N filter will add almost no horsepower at normal driving rpms. It will help some but only at higher rpms, which is a range that you will not be driving in. These type free flow filters only help in a racing environment, and do almost nothing for day to day normal driving. As to the TB Spacer, it does nothing to increase horsepower. I know you have more than likely been told that they add horsepower, but the dynos do not lie, and they simply do almost nothing for a no-race vehicle.
K&N makes quality performance products, esecially air filters.
how much horespower does a 1992 dodge Dakota 3.9 liter with 2 k@N air filters have
with a k&n or similar.......A LOT!! AND MORE TORQUE HAVE FUN :)
Do you use a K&N airfilter?
Put in a K&N airfilter, an aftermarket full-system exhaust and a jet-kit for the carbs.
