that all depends on the exact car the 350 came stock in, along with the year.

you will find answers ranging from 160 hp (low hp trucks and economy crusers) to new 600 hp stock corvettes all built using your base 5.7L 350 small block Chevy engine platform, there are also big block 350 crate engines that come stock with over 500 hp some even higher hp up in the 700 hp range they are expensive around 7,500 to 12,000 dollars depending on what exactly you had done to it, but those big block crate 350's are NOT Chevy/gm they are custom, look them up in summit magazine, so to sum up the answer, stock chev SB 350's have been built in about every hp range you can imagine, low compression high compression low torque high TQ, high HP with high TQ, etc...... from 145hp to like I said 600hp maybe higher the higher hp 350's will be from corvettes, camaros, older novas, look for the LS1 350's, and the LS2 both use vortech heads with tuned port injection and are aluminum heads and might be aluminum blocks i cant recall i know the heads are aluminum, lighter weight better heat disbursement vortech 350's are amazingly easy to build up to the 350 to 600 hp mar,k since they are literally detuned for fuel economy, a hot cam and some flat top pistons should aim you around 12 to 1 compression ratio, or you can put in dished pistons and a high rpm range cam then add a turbo charger or supercharger, make your compression ratio around 8.5 to 1 both ratios will run fine on standard premium grade 89-90 octane pump gas and deliver 400 hp without needing to go any higher on the octane, i love stock chev 350's although you can get more out of a well built 4 cylinder vtech Honda like a K20, or a H22, or a Nissan rb series skyline engine,and they cost less

Hi Sir, It would Help to know what year that Beast came from. As The Other Person stated some came with very Low H.P. if it was me I would put in a 4.3 Dohc Motor.
