8-12-11>>> This is a American Eagle Gold Bullion coin. a Twenty-Five dollar denomination coin is One Half-Ounce (1/2) of pure gold. The value is tied to the spot price of gold at time of sale. Right now it's $1,767.60 per ounce. Current value of this coin is $883.80. This price is a little less than you could buy it for and a little more than you could sell it for. But it gives you an idea of value. A 1986 $25 coin certified as MS-69 by a recognized grading service has a average retail value of $1,000.00. This is not a significant increase in value. Because of modern minting technology, high grade bullion coins are more common than most people think.
NOTE: The spot price of gold and other precious metals changes by the minute when the market is open. So the value of this coin will go up and down.
The coin is an American Eagle Gold Bullion coin, not a Liberty coin. All gold coins made by the US from 1795 to 2011 have the word LIBERTY on them. A denomination is needed because each one has a different weight of gold in it. Post new question.
A 1986 American Eagle Bullion $20 gold coin in at least MS65 condition is worth: $505.00.
If it is gold colored it's been plated but it is still may have some value for the silver in it.The mint does not make gold walking liberty coins

The coin is actually a "Statue of Liberty Centennial" silver dollar and is very common with a current retail value of $26.00.

The coin should read " A Nation Of Immigrants" on the reverse. This is a 1986 Statue of Liberty Centennial half dollar. It's a very common copper-nickel coin that's valued at $4.00.
Unless it's a privately-minted bullion piece it would be either a standard Peace dollar dated 1921 to 1935, or a .999 fine Walking Liberty "dollar" dated 1986 or later. It can't be both.If it's a genuine Peace dollar it's .900 fine, not .999; its value depends on its date and mint mark but will be at least $14 for the silver it contains. If it's a .999 bullion piece its value will be a bit more than the current spot price of silver as given in your newspaper or at a site such as kitco.com.
$100 to $110 at today's gold prices
Uncirculated and Proof versions of this coin were struck, but value is the same for both at $6.00
Please post new question with more information and a better description. Is the dual date 1886-1986 on both coins?
Hi I have also been trying to find the value of these coins because I have a 1986 Liberty Trade Silver coin. Ive done the research and these coins were privately manufactured so they are really only worth the silver value of these coins, and the print on them does not contribute at all to their value.
