R From past family history. 15 years ago my gradnpas friend was metal detecting and found one. he then sold it that week for 10,000$ cash. It was so much becasue at that time the war was hapening and the army wanted aall the silver so all the guarter dimes and nickels were destoryed for there silver.
There is no such thing as a 1921 Canadian Silver Dollar. A pattern was made in 1911 which sold for $400,000.00 recently and the next one was not made until 1935. If you have one it is counterfeit.
It depends on the condition. An average worn example will bring about $10 depending on the price of silver. A nice uncirculated example can sell for $100 or more.
Check that coin again. The first circulating Canadian silver dollar wasn't minted until 1935.
Only two exist, and one sold at auction for $1.1 million in 2003.
Being that there are only three, and legitimacy would need to be verified, I would guess $80,000, on 23 grams of silver. Most expensive silver in Canadian history, to be sure.
A 1961 Canadian 25-cent coin can be worth about $6. A coin's actual value would be based on the silver market at the time of purchase or sale.
Current retail value is $8.00
No US dollar coins are dated 1961. Look at the coin again and post new question.
Turn the coin over and look at the denomination on the back. It's a half dollar.
Please check again and post a new, separate question. The last silver certificates were printed with the date 1957. No US bills are dated 1961.
As of 02/2009, about $6 for its silver content. The coin is very common, most are only valued for the silver, about $12.00
At current silver prices, a '61 Franklin half is worth just under $10.
Face value only.
Please post a new question. There were no U.S. bills of any denomination printed with that date.
$5.50
The only person to appear on Canadian $20 notes in recent (1961+) history is The Queen.
A U.S. fifty cent piece dated 1961 is a Franklin half dollar. The coin is not rare, if it shows any wear the value is about $12.00 just for the silver.
