With the base L48 350ci V8 it puts out 185HP and with the optional L82 350ci V8 it puts out 220HP.
175HP with the base L48 350 V8 California emissions and high altitudes emissions engine, 185HP with the base L48 350 V8 engine, and 220HP with the optional L82 350 V8 engine.
there is no such engine for 1978 you either have L48 or L82.
The 1975 L48 Corvette engine was the "base" engine and never was offered with aluminum heads or a 4-bolt main block from the factory. The L82, offered in 1975 had 4-bolt mains but still only had cast iron heads.

All 1976 Corvettes were 350ci. The engine numbers will tell you if it's a base engine, L48 or L82.
