In 1878 Queen Elizabeth I had been dead for over 2 centuries and Elizabeth II was a half-century in the future so you couldn't have a coin with either monarch.

Please post a new question with the coin's denomination and date. You do NOT have to include the words "Dei Gratia Regina ..." 'cause they're on ALL coins from the British commonwealth / empire.

You need to give the denomination and country of origin. There is a huge difference between something like a penny and a gold sovereign. Keep in mind that Queen Victoria was the sovereign of multiple countries and many different countries have coins that portrait her during her reign.

How much is an 1896 British bun penny worth?

Such a coin does not exist. The British 1896 Penny showed what is known as the "old veiled" or "widow head" bust of Queen Victoria. What is known as the "Bun" Penny shows a younger Queen Victoria with her hair tied in a "bun" and was issued from 1860 to 1894.

About $1 for its silver content. Note that because Canada is a member of the British Commonwealth, ALL of its coins carry the Queen's picture and that motto, so it's not a way of identifying any Canadian coins.

How much is a 2963 Queen Elizabeth 2nd Halfpenny worth?

Please check your coin. The Halfpenny has been out of circulation for well over 20 years, and Queen Elizabeth II is not very likely to be with us in 2963. If you refer to a 1963 British Halfpenny, the coin has very little value if it has been in circulation.
