it depends on how stinge the judge is

According to the New York state sentencing guidelines A maximum sentence of 25 years. If you go to trial and get an easy judge perhaps as the fella above says you could get a lighter sentence. Of course any prosecutor in his right mind will appeal the decision and as the sentencing guidelines are already in the law books unless you took a plea your wrist slap sentence will be overturned.

A first time offender is required to do a minimum of 5 years. If you have a record for anything else then its gonna be real ugly for ya. Stick to selling crack dummy.

Bank robbery is both a federal and a state criminal offense. Whether or not you possess a weapon during the commission of the crime is immaterial, you can be prosecuted in both venues, and the penalties can be severe.
