You should probably not give peptobismol to a dog. Peptobismol's active ingredient is bismuth salicylate, a relative to aspirin. You can't give peptobismol to kids, because they can get something called Reye's syndrome and potentially die from it. You should ask your vet what to do about your dog, but do not feed it peptobismol.
do not gibe pepto bismal to your dog or any other animal! it could really hurt them!
dont give them peto bismol call your vet

Open dogs mouth wide and inject with a syringe.
you can give your dog pepto bismal. Even though its a human dug, it works on dogs as well.
no. peppermint would aggravate and give you heartburn. I would take a anti-acid like pepto- bismal.
no...the best thing is to give your dog bland food to give it's stomach the opportunity to settle. a little cooked ground beef mixed with cooked white rice is very good to accomplish this. It will also help cure the runs and or constipation.
well it depends........if it is a dog 70-100 pounds you can give them a whole TABLET of pepto bismo, 20-60 pounds, give them HALF of a tablet. For the liqid pepto bismo, 70-100 pounds give them 1 teaspoon.
boiled chicken liver pepto bismo and lots of water. Not exactly. If they have an upset stomach feed them boiled chicken/hamburger and white rice. DO NOT give them pepto bismal. And a lot of water isn't a good idea in all cases. If you think your pet is very sick and cannot wait until your normal vet opens call your local animal emergency center.
Just this past week my dog's vet told me that I could give MYLANTA to my dog (a cocker spaniel) , but that I should NEVER give her Pepto NOR Kaopectate.
Yes, you can give pepto to dogs for upset stomachs. Give 1/4 tablet per 20 lbs dog weight.
I would strongly recommend calling your veterinarian first - dogs can have severe stomach problems that can be made worse with Pepto-Bismol, including gastric dilation and torsion and foreign bodies. Although not fun for the dog, it's generally better to let your dog ride through a bout of upset stomach without medication - he should be fine in about 12 hours and acting like normal again. However, in some cases veterinarians do use bismuth sulfate (the active ingredient in Pepto-Bismol) to treat minor cases of indigestion and diarrhea in dogs. It is important to check with your veterinarian regarding dosage for your dog (it is based on weight and health status, so it needs to be individually tailored) and the formula needs to be the original Pepto-Bismol with no other active ingredients.
around one mg per pound
250mg for a 90 pound child
