It takes about only one time taking it --- As with any drug, it depends on the person. Some people have a higher risk of chemical dependency than others. Meth is one of the most addictive drugs available, so the likelihood of becoming addicted is much higher. After using it once, some people will have a strong desire to use it again and will use it again, and will repeat this pattern until they develop a full-fledged dependency. Other people can use meth on a recreational basis and cease use without any problems.

The time it takes you to get addicted to meth deoends on your age and if you have had to much of it in a certain amount of time. If you are 10 to 21 years old your body is still developing so it would probaly take about 1 to 3 times. But if older than 21 then your body should be about done developing and so should your brain and that way it takes about 5 to 8 times of doing it to get addicted. But when you look at it, it is not how long you have done meth, it is how many times you have done meth.

I've been doing meth for two years and I can proudly say that I have never become addicted. However, that's just me. It all depends on the person who's taking the meth. When a person first takes meth, they will MOST LIKELY have a strong urge to take it again once the first high wears off. Then they may have the urge again and again and before they know it, they can't get enough crank. This is why it is best to have an experienced meth user, or a "tripsitter" to keep the person from following the urge until they can handle it themself.

And one more thing... When someone says it only takes one time, that's only in rare occasions. If you're asking this because you want to try crank, then just remember to have someone who is experienced with the drug to help keep you in control. :)

I don't have a scientific toxicity amount for you but I can tell you it will be directly relative to the quality of the meth, your body weight and type, personal tolerance, and the method and speed of introduction i.e. smoking, injecting, snorting, etc...
