depends on what you are highered at, such as GS7 or GS8 I tryed looking up GS pay charts but i couldn't find any. Ask a recruiter or call up your local base and talk with the fire department, because they are the only ones with haz mat techs( at least on AF bases). Oh and usually you have to be a fire fighter.
How do i know ? Im an active duty Air Force Firefighter and have gone through Haz mat Tech training.

Since the whole house or apartment gets the diluted air over time the 8 or 10 hour standard is probably reached - it would be a good idea to air the place out for the same duration as for burnt toast or Uncle Jack's gas.Then sweep up the broken bits into a baggie and dispose with the trash.
