A replacement screen for an iPod Touch can be had for about $80.00. So, it would probably be around twice that, at this time. However, in the future, as more iPads are sold the price will come down. One can only conjecture at this time, as the iPad hasn't been made available for sale yet. The price - in the beginning - will probably run about $150.
Apple is making about a 20% profit on the lower end iPads, which isn't much. Retailers usually double their cost when they sell an item. It's called "keystoning". Apple does this because they make additional profit from iTunes and their partnership with AT&T. I say this, because if you bought all the parts of an iPad, you'd pay more than it's worth. So, trying to build an iPad part-by-part would be much more expensive than buying a complete iPad. This is a good thing, because Apple is keeping the price down - way down.
Other companies do this as well, for example Microsoft takes a loss on every Xbox 360 sold, same with the Sony Playstation 3, because they make their money through subscriptions to their respective online services and through partnerships with game makers (game makers pay a "licensing fee" for every game sold to the makers of the platforms they write the game for. This is why replacing parts or getting a unit that has significant damage repaired often isn't cost effective, because some companies making the hardware sell it at a loss, with no profit, or very little profit.
LCD screens made now days are quite durable, much more durable than older LCD screens. The iPhone and iPod Touch screens (particularly the 2nd and 3rd generations) have proven to be very, very reliable, with very few bad pixels over time. So, the iPad will probably prove to be quite durable as well. However, if the screen does go, it may be wise to weigh the pros and cons of replacing the entire unit. It may be that replacing the entire unit, and selling the broken one on Ebay may prove to be the smarter choice.
One other caveat, often times it isn't the LCD screen, but rather the bulb that provides the illumination that is the problem. Replacing a bulb is far cheaper than replacing an entire LCD screen. I replaced a bulb on a first-generation iPod Touch for $10. I bought it for $10 on Ebay, spent $10 fixing it, and got a perfectly good iPod Touch for $20 (plus $5 for shipping). I've done this with many units and given them to family, friends or sold them to co-workers. Point being, sometimes it's cheaper to fix a unit, and sometimes it's better to buy a new one and enjoy the increased capacity, functionality and fresh longevity of the new product.
If you need a screen repair you might just have to get a new iPad. That is what i was told when i got my iPad 3
Answer
You might chance it and see if there is someone local who does these sorts of repairs. The company doesn't do them.
It depends on what kind of iPad machine do you have. iPad 1/2/3/4/Mini are different in price, as the screen is different.
If only the touch screen or the display glass is damage, it is much cheap, just replace it. but if all display unit damage, it is much expensive. you can go some special store to check it.

It is around $299.00 to $429.00 to buy an IPad mini.
The iPad Mini starts at $329 from Apple.
There is no significant difference between the two, except for the fact that the iPad mini is true to it's name and is smaller then the iPad. Another difference is that Siri is only on the iPad 3 and iPad mini.
The rumoured iPad mini might about $249, although Apple has not announced the product, and it may never be made.
The only difference between them are of course the bigger screen. The iPad 4 has an HD screen, a significantly faster processor, and might have better cameras, but other than that, they are pretty much the same. They do the same things, but one is just faster and clearer. There is also a design change between them, but that part is totally opinion.
From popular rumors, The new iPad will be the usual iPad size. A mini iPad would be pretty much an iPhone or iPod of a different shape. Think about that. The new iPad should be regular sized.
about 300
ipad is much better than iPhone because of the screen size and ipad is much faster than iPhone . Ipad also had better camera. But iPhone is the best phone in the world. Apple the best
