Depends on what is being done! Typically, with the new computer controlled ignition in cars these days, tuneups are really a CASH maker!
Take your car to Autozone or checkers and see if there are any codes stored in the computer. If no codes exist, then if the plugs have never been changed, but a new set an replace them yourself and while you are at it, replace the air filter. Plugs will run you anywhere from $1.99 to $3 a piece and the filter maybe $10-20.
